LCO Employee’s Music Video Scores an Award Nomination

Posted by Levine Communications Office on March 20, 2012

(BEVERLY HILLS, CA) March 19, 2012 – The video for Lordd Virgil’s video for his single about his hometown “Flint, Michigan” has become a global, viral hit on YouTube with views in more than 80 countries. Now, Review Music Magazine in Bay City, MI, twenty miles north of Flint, is catching on.

“Flint, Michigan” has been nominated for a Review Music Award for best video at the 26th Annual Review Music Awards that will take place at The Golden Glow Ballroom on Sunday, April 29.

The song, that is quickly resonating as an anthem that speaks to the plight of Flint, combines a nostalgic sadness for what Flint has been, a quiet resignation to the state of Flint today and a fatalistic acceptance that, no matter what, frontman Lordd Virgil will someday die with pride in his hometown as seven generations of his family have done before him.
