” ….I don’t think their original formula is worth $600 either, maybe $100 but not more than that.” said Dr. Lorrie Klein, a dermatologist in Laguna Niguel.  “There are always companies willing to take advantage of gullible rich folks who feel that if they spend a lot then the product must be better.”

Dr. Tony Nakhla, director of OC Skin Institute, said, “There is no reason to ever pay that kind of money for any skincare product. The only value is in the platinum packaging, certainly not any active ingredient in the actual product. Even the non-limited edition product worth $600 is beyond excessive and probably only cost $3 to manufacture.

“Seems like another scam in the world of skin care,” said Nakhla, who wrote the book, “The Skin Commandments: 10 Rules to Healthy, Beautiful Skin.”

“Skin care products should not be extremely expensive as they are only intended to modestly improve and maintain the skin,” he said. “There is no such thing as a ‘miracle cream.’ ”

One of the most prominent public relations firms in the Los Angeles area is expanding and searching for a TEMP OR FREELANCE publicist/account executive. 

For nearly 30 years, our award-winning Beverly Hills firm has represented some of the biggest names in entertainment including 60 Academy-Award winners, A-list rock stars and nearly 40 New York Times best-selling books as well as captains of industry and leading lifestyle experts among many other notable clients.

This position will have an opportunity to manage several clients, develop creative strategies, escort clients at red carpet events and have a direct hand in creating award-winning publicity campaigns.

You will be reporting to the vice president to review client activity, plan future projects and development strategy.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of professional public relations experience.
  • Strong entertainment background.
  • Excellent media contacts in both traditional and new media.
  • Experience in strategic media relations including development and execution.
  • Excellent client-communication skills.
  • Excellent copywriter who knows AP style.
  • Capable of representing eight clients simultaneously.
  • Proactive self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who is goal-driven and highly motivated who can handle pressure and deadlines with ease.
  • College degree in public relations, marketing, communications, or related field is required.
  • Available to start immediately.
