Posted by Levine Communications Office on July 29, 2010

Katya and Michael Levine

Jekaterina Semjonova, known to the Levine Communications Office staff as “Katya,” has successfully graduated the LCO Internship Program. Originating from Latvia, Katya has been living in Los Angeles for 1 year and 3 months, while interning at LCO for 3 1/2 months. She worked under Michael Levine in his office and has been kind enough to share some input and suggestions in order to get the most out of your internship.

When asked what she learned during her internship at LCO, she said that she has strengthened her organizational and planning skill both in her professional and personal life. She has been taught good discipline, proper time management, and how to grade herself in order to do better with upcoming projects. Katya states that this internship was “harder than the job I had before, which was paid! This internship prepares you for the hard business world, no matter what your career environment may be.”

Katya suggests the “LCO Internship Program to those with or without PR career paths, because this internship builds your professional skills and prepares you for the real world. Employers look at effort, and completing an unpaid internship shows dedication to better oneself in their chosen direction.”

She also went on to explain what she did in order to get the most out of what LCO had to offer her. “I took part in as many events as I could. I went to two of Michael’s Workshops, the George Carlin event at The Laugh Factory, the screening of Robert Evans, weekly staff meetings, monthly trainings, and a few more.” By taking LCO up on every opportunity presented to her, Katya was able to learn as much as possible during her time here.

She ended with saying that she, “really enjoyed working with the LCO staff, as they were helpful, welcoming, and professional.”

She wishes everyone to “Dream big and achieve goals!”

Thank you Katya for all of your time and effort here at LCO, you will be missed.
