Posted by Levine Communications Office on May 20, 2011

LCO client Ryan Kugler , Co-owner and President, Distribution Video & Audio Inc. spoke with Smart Business about finding and keeping customers online.

He points out that technology has changed the way that we do business because when we’re dealing on the Internet, we’re dealing with people who are not multimillion-dollar companies like Target or Big Lots. We’re dealing with a whole different species of an animal.

He also mentions that the biggest challenge … is finding new customers. If we cut our marketing, you’re not going to get new customers. Now, we can cut marketing as far as keep marketing to the same amount of people at a lower price.

Hot Flash Havoc on EmpowHer

Posted by Levine Communications Office on May 20, 2011

EmpowHER Media is an award-winning health media company for women. The Company’s flagship and Top 5 women’s health and wellness site and community — EmpowHER.com — is the home for female health consumers. EmpowHER Offers Free Menopause and Hormone Resource Page to Provide Women Information and Support. The page Offers Access to Information on Managing Menopause, Hormonal Issues and Features Menopause-Focused Film, “Hot Flash Havoc.”

According the U.S. National Institute on Aging, the average age of a woman having her last menstrual period — typically the first sign of menopause — is 51. Some women have their last period in their 40s, while some may experience it in their later 50s. Some women may experience peri-menopause even earlier. Common menopausal symptoms can include hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, mood swings, thinning hair, depression, trouble sleeping, headaches, fatigue, and memory and concentration problems.

According to Heidi Houston, executive producer of “Hot Flash Havoc,” menopause turned her life upside-down. “My quality of life had faded to a black hole,” says Houston. “When I finally got to an informed doctor and the right answers, my 13 year-old son said to me, ‘Mom, I don’t know where you have been but I am glad you’re back.’ ‘Hot Flash Havoc’ was produced because it took me three years, five doctors, countless clinics and medicine men before I got answers to my symptoms that I did not know were the precursor to menopause. I knew that finally a doctor had changed my life and I decided to change others. It has been quite a journey to get the straight truth and create a movie that will make you laugh, cry and think.”
