When Emma Coats, a storyboard artist at Pixar, released some helpful storytelling rules on Twitter in the summer, it was read casually by most people. After all, these bits of wisdom look like they would only apply to writers.
But when we actually read through them, a lot of these are relevant to publicists when we want to pitch and show people why our clients matter (such as #2 and #14). Although not all of them may apply to the PR industry directly, it’s great to remember these because nobody wants to be the person at a party that ruined an amazing story about the time they saw something during that one time in that one place.
