(VANCOUVER, BC) October 12, 2010 – Release Me, the first single from the new self-titled album by Western Canadian rockers Eldebrock (www.Eldebrock.net) is not only skyrocketing with buzz, but now it’s rocking the skies too.   Their new hit song will now be featured nationally and internationally on the Canadian Pop music-only channel on Thomas Cook Airlines in November, December and January.

“In addition to hit makers like Katy Perry, Usher, Sara Bareilles, Good Charlotte, Rihanna and Kings of Leon, we’re always looking for new, breakout artists to feature on our channels,” says Kevin Bolt, Senior Audio Producer with In-Flight Productions, the world’s largest producer of in-flight entertainment.  “Eldebrock has a strong, unmistakable sound and we’re excited to introduce the band to our passengers who want to discover new music first.”

Between 1,000,000 and 1,800,000 passengers are predicted to fly nationally and internationally on Thomas Cook airlines during the upcoming three-month period.

While Release Me flies the friendly skies, the self-titled Eldebrock album remains grounded and is continuing to build momentum throughout Canada and The United States.

The album was mixed by industry heavyweight Michael Wagener and produced by Ryan Andersen.

Wagener, whose works have sold more than 93 million albums worldwide, has worked on some of rock’s most respected albums including Metallica’s Master of Puppets, Skid Row’s self-titled debut and Ozzy Osbourne’s No More Tears.  Credits for Andersen include Nickelback’s The Long Road and All the Right Reasons.

Earlier this year, the band decided to give back in a big way and reached out globally by partnering with the UICC – Union for International Cancer Control (www.uicc.org), the leading, non-governmental organization in Geneva that is dedicated to the global prevention and control of cancer.  The band created the campaign, World War on Cancer, and has committed $1 per album (.10 cents per song sold) to support the fight against cancer.

Eldebrock is Jay Wegenast (Lead vocals/guitar), Barrett Moore (Lead guitar/vocals), Del Bannerman (Rhythm guitar), Richard Lalonde (Bass) and Shawn Bannerman (Drums).

Eldebrock also won the 2010 IMA Best in Class Award for website design in the ‘Music’ category and recently signed an endorsement deal with Steve Clayton Guitar Picks.
